五十四歲。公民黨副主席，香港無國界工程師及公共專業聯盟創會主席，長春社前任主席及現任理事，曾在政府策略發展委員會，可持續發展委員會，香港社會服務聯會，樂施會等機關擔任公職。

1980年畢業於香港大學工程糸，1984年取得社會科學(城市研究)碩士學位。多年來從事工程管理和基建投資。 已婚，育有一子。

20　Albert LAI
Age 54. Civic Party Vice-chairman, Founding chairman of the Professional Commons and Engineers without borders (HK), Past chairman and current director of the Conservancy Association. Also served with Commission on Strategic Development, Council for Sustainable Development, HK Council of Social Service and Oxfam Hong Kong.

Attained B.Sc (Engineering) and M.Soc.Sc.(Urban Studies) in the University of Hong Kong in 1980 and 1984 respectively. A long career record in engineering management and infrastructure investment.
Married with one son.

"The power of engineering is to turn ideas into reality, and to create value for all. Whether professionals can contribute effectively in public policy-making is a matter of significant public interest. We must make sure that the next CE can hear the voice of professionals clearly, push forward democratic development, to roll back developer hegemony and to safeguard Hong Kong's core values.

Reading China's history in the last century, it takes no time to conclude that Hong Kong's path to democracy will be full of twists and turns. We have no expert among us. We can only learn from mistakes and inch forward with perseverance. Understandably, there are good reasons for others to feel disappointed.
